We have a selection of handles, locks, hinges and other architectural fittings to suit all tastes and budgets including TradCo's heritage fittings to the contemporary Iver and Bankston designs.
We arrange your order direct from the manufacturer, and have common accessories and fittings already in stock for immediate purchase.

Against the Grain is a distributor of Brio innovative hardware, Breezway louvres and Velux skylights, sun tunnels and roof windows. Call or visit our showroom to chat with us about your requirements.
FINISHES & FIXINGS
We stock a large selection of quality timber products including professional surface coating strippers and cleaners and 100% pure natural oils by Organoil for a multitude of internal and external applications.
For natural finish windows and doors we recommend Cutek exterior oil which soaks into the timber rather than just sitting on the surface.
If you are not sure about which tint to use on your specific timber, borrow a sample tin from us to test it on your timber first.

We also stock innovative screws and fasteners by SPAX for any timber connection. With screw lengths ranging from 15-800mm we have just what you need. SPAX is the benchmark worldwide for safety, strength and efficiency. We used SPAX for our work on the award-winning Macquarie University Innovation Hub project and recommend them.
AUSTRALIAN & IMPORTED HARDWOOD
We stock a variety of timbers to suit the needs of carpenters, craftsmen and home renovators.
We offer a milling service if you are trying to match cladding, cornice, architraves or skirting and have hundreds of cutters to choose from. Please contact us with your requirements or bring in an off cut that you are trying to match and we can provide you with a quote.

Visit our specifications page to view some of the timbers we typically have readily available. We can supply both imported and Australian timbers, however we only source timber from accredited suppliers who use FSC and Rainforest Alliance products.
