Against the Grain manufactured custom timber windows, doors, and architectural elements for this prestige Canberra residence, constructed to an exacting standard by Pichelmann Custom Building.

All products are crafted from European oak, adding warmth to the polished concrete flooring and rammed earth walls. Externally, Against the Grain’s bespoke fascia boards and post capping connect the interior design to the outdoor living spaces. Bespoke slatted screens add visual impact to the exterior, helping to control privacy and natural light. 

Full height, double glazed fixed windows and sliding doors feature throughout the home. The statement entrance comprises a 80mm thick pivot door weighing ~300kg. Internally, this is matched with shiplap timber panelling and feature internal door, also in clear-finished European oak. 

Elsewhere in the home, the powder room features custom milled European oak vanity top and shelf. The temperature controlled wine cellar is on full view through a substantial fixed window and glazed entry door.
