JOINER

JOINER

Full time role in our Katoomba factory.

THE JOB:

 

  • Evaluate job sheets & specifications for proper set up of materials; series of operations; and machine settings

  • Planning and organising of work

  • Clean up frames ready for assembly

  • Assembly of frames and fitting off of beading as required

  • Rebating of sashes for hinges & other hardware

  • Fitting off of doors & sashes

  • Sanding of finished products

  • Glazing

  • Evaluate completed wood pieces for accuracy and quality, adding detailing work if requested

  • Set up and operate woodworking machines adhering to health and safety standards

  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace

  • Abide by workplace health & safety policies and procedures

  • Other tasks as directed

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery

  • 3 years experience in a similar role within the carpentry and joinery industry

  • A White Card (Construction Induction Card)

  • Own hand tools

  • Current drivers licence & own transport

 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Ability to follow instructions, working unsupervised or in a team

  • Dedication to the task at hand, enthusiasm and attention to detail

  • Good communication and numeracy skills - we'll need you to communicate effectively with apprentices and other staff

  • Time management and ability to critically think tasks through - we are a busy factory need tasks completed in a timely manner.

WOOD MACHINIST

Full time role in our Katoomba factory.

THE JOB:

 

  • Evaluate job sheets and specifications to set up proper materials, series of operations and settings on machines

  • Cut all frame and sash material to size and rebates and trenches timber materials as required

  • Glues timber doors and sashes

  • Cut timber window frames

  • Position wood stock for cutting, modelling and sanding according to specifications

  • Evaluate completed wood pieces for accuracy and quality, adding detailing work if requested

  • Set up and operate woodworking machines adhering to health and safety standards

  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace

  • Abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures

  • Other tasks as directed

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Certificate III in wood machining

  • 5 years experience in a similar role within the timber wood machining industry

  • A White Card (Construction Induction Card)

  • Own hand tools

  • Current drivers licence & own transport
